Every year, the UK's food industry leaders gather for the annual Footprint Awards to celebrate and honour outstanding achievements in food system change and corporate food sustainability. We're proud to share that many of our esteemed clients received awards for their tireless efforts in decarbonisation.

These accolades cover the entire food system, including Sustainable Supplier, Economic Sustainability, Sustainability in Education, and Sustainable Health in Hospitality. The awards recognise macro and micro changes achieved by large food businesses over the past 12 months, focusing on effective and efficient decarbonisation.

With food accounting for nearly a third of global greenhouse gas emissions, events like these are more than just an industry-wide pat on the back. They showcase concrete examples of how food businesses can significantly impact the fight for our planet by making climate-conscious decisions in the food they buy and sell.

Foodsteps was built on a strong community of ambitious food business leaders, such as Carolyn Ball from Compass Group UK&I and Claudia Candiotto from Azzurri Group. We are extremely proud to see their hard work, and that of their teams, recognised on an industry-wide scale.

We hope you’ll join us in congratulating them and forgive us for basking in the reflected glory that Foodsteps partners and customers swept the board and took home most of the prizes.

Olivia Pratt, Head of Nutrition and Sustainability at Chartwells (Compass UK & I) “We’re proud of the work our teams are doing to educate students and pupils to make informed decisions that are better for their health and our planet. Our partnership with Foodsteps has allowed us to analyse the carbon intensity of over 2000 recipes to date, providing us with the data we need to balance our menus as part of our ongoing commitment to carbon reduction. We’re delighted to have been recognised at the Footprint awards for our work and remain committed to driving change across the education sector.”

Please stay tuned for further information on each of the award-winning projects.
